Combe Martin Museum and Information Point is committed to making this museum and this website accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of technology or ability. 

We aim to create an inclusive digital environment that reflects our welcoming nature and ethics.

  • Step-free access to the museum, gift shop and ground floor.

  • Mobility and wheelchair accessible to all floors.

  • Our museum is brightly lit with clear displays and explanations.

  • Guide dogs and well-behaved family dogs are welcome at our museum.

  • Steward-operated lift available to assist with movement between floors.

  • Inclusive assistance tools, including Makaton-supported displays.

  • Makaton is a unique communication programme that uses symbols (pictures), signs (gestures) and speech to enable people to communicate.

  • ‘Talking Pen’ and audio guides for visitors with visual impairments.

  • Family-friendly spaces featuring tactile exhibits and colouring book stations.

  • Accompanied children have access to quizzes and games.

  • Concessions for senior citizens | Free admission for children.

  • Supportive stewards on hand to assist with visitor needs.
