A volunteer is someone who gives their time and effort to an enterprise with no expectation of payment.

So why do it?! I’ve made amazing new friends, learned so much about Combe Martin and its history. I enjoy talking to visitors both local and from further afield and listening to their tales.

It is interesting, fun and contributes to the community. I can really recommend it!

It was a practical way to support local heritage, and ensure the site remains welcoming to all visitors.
